1. Information we collect

Data you provide directly:


  • Account & identity – email address and, if you choose, a display name.
  • Demographics – age, height, and weight
  • Lifestyle & habit logs – entries you create for sleep, workouts, hydration, nutrition notes, stress level, sunlight exposure, etc.
  • Support messages – emails or in-app contacts, plus any attachments.


Purchase data:


  • Subscription tier, renewal date, transaction IDs supplied by Apple In-App Purchases (mobile) or Stripe (web).
  • We never store card or bank details ourselves.

Automatic device and usage data:

  • Collected through Firebase Crashlytics/Cloud Messaging, PostHog, and Google Analytics
  • IP address, device model, OS version, app build, language, time zone.
  • App-event logs: screens viewed, buttons tapped, feature usage, crash reports.


Analytics cookies (web only):


  • First-party Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid, etc.) set on landing pages at thetestosterone.app

Note: We do not collect government IDs, precise GPS, facial images, or any third-party medical records.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide core features – store habit logs, compute your motivational testosterone score, and show charts.


  • Manage subscriptions – validate purchases and unlock premium features through Apple In-App Purchase, RevenueCat, Superwall, and Stripe.


  • Send notifications and emails – habit reminders via Firebase Cloud Messaging; confirmation, invoice, and OTP for login/signup emails through Mailgun.


  • Analyze product performance – anonymized funnels, retention, and event metrics in PostHog; website traffic trends in Google Analytics.


  • Improve stability and security – crash traces in Firebase Crashlytics; IP-level abuse monitoring on backend logs.


  • AI-powered coaching – your prompt is sent to OpenAI with “no-log” instruction; no chat history is kept.


We never sell your personal data or share raw habit logs with advertisers.

3. Legal Bases for Processing

We process data only when one or more of these grounds apply:

  • Consent – you opt in to data entry, push alerts, or marketing emails.
  • Contract – we need the data to deliver Services you subscribe to.
  • Legitimate interest – securing the platform, fixing bugs, improving UX.
  • Legal obligation – complying with tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention laws.


If you reside in the EU/UK, we rely on GDPR-approved bases; you may withdraw consent at any time.

4. Who We Share Data With

We disclose information only when necessary and under contract:


  • Apple – in-app purchase processing and refunds.
  • Stripe – web payments and billing.
  • RevenueCat/Superwall – subscription status and analytics.
  • Firebase – push notifications, crash logs, messaging tokens.
  • PostHog – in-app product analytics.
  • Google Analytics – website usage metrics.
  • Mailgun – transactional email delivery like Login OTP
  • Crisp – for customer support

Vendors are prohibited from selling or reusing your data. We may also share data to comply with the law or during a merger or acquisition (with notice to you).

5. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States or other countries where our partners operate.

When European or UK information leaves the EEA/UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

6. Retention Periods

  • Profile information and habit logs remain until you delete your account.
  • Subscription and payment records are kept up to seven years for legal compliance.
  • Crash and usage logs are stored no longer than twelve months.

  • When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live (GDPR, CPRA, PIPEDA, etc.), you can:


  • Request a copy of your data.
  • Correct inaccurate profile fields.
  • Delete your account and associated logs.
  • Withdraw consent or object to certain processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.


Exercise any right via in-app settings or email [email protected]. We will respond to you within 30 days.

8. Security Measures

We protect data with:

  • TLS encryption in transit and AES-256 encryption at rest.
  • Role-based access controls and audit logging for staff.
  • Firewalls, intrusion detection, and routine security scans.


No method is 100 percent secure; keep your devices updated and use strong passwords.

9. Do-Not-Track & Cookies

The mobile app sets zero cookies.

Our website uses only first-party Google Analytics cookies. Browser “Do-Not-Track” signals are not yet honored because no industry standard exists.

10. Information from minors

The Testosterone app is designed for general audiences, and we prioritize the privacy and safety of all users, including minors.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 where this is restricted by law, such as under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States. 

If we become aware that personal information has been inadvertently collected from a child under the applicable age of consent in their jurisdiction, we will take immediate steps to delete such data. 

We encourage parents or guardians to actively supervise and be involved in the online activities and app usage of their children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this notice from time to time. Material updates will be announced in-app or by email and take effect on the new “Last updated” date.
